SYNCHRONICITY

SYNCHRONICITY
Erle Frayne Argonza / Ra

Far apart are two minds who’d never
Caught a glimpse of each other’s name
‘Til one day
Unbeknown to them
A same shooting star of an idea
Visited both of them amid
Blankets of dazzling light.

They are both
Children of twinned situations
Whose midwife is
Time.
[Writ. 27 May 91, Cubao, Quezon City, M.Manila]

REFLECTION
Two people discovering an idea or its practical invention, yet who do not at any instance have met each other? ‘Meaningful coincidences’ as it is termed in Jung’s argot, or the Principle of Synchronicity as it is taught in the higher mysteries. It was among the principles stressed to my batch that was initiated to the Great White Lodge in 1994.
Synchronicity is distinguished from Causality, and one should develop the wisdom to know when to explicate a phenomenon through synchronicity rather than causality. Causality stipulates independent variables X1, X2, up to Xn possibly leading to a dependent variable Y, mathematicized as Y=fn(Xi). Synchronicity regards both X and Y as coincidentally happening, not as one causing the other.
Let’s take the case of astrology. One should understand astrology from the vantage point of synchronicity rather than causality. For instance, the zodiac sign of Cancer (I was born in this sign) doesn’t mean that the constellation Cancer is causing such phenomena as introversion, charisma, and so on. Rather, during the period when the constellation Cancer is on the ascendant, events in the inner self synchronically happen so as to highlight introversion, charisma and associative abilities, and so on that are expected of those born in the sign of Cancer.

So what other phenomena could be explicated by the Principle of Synchronicity? Let this serve as a guide question for all of those who are journeying the path of liberation.

O’ MORNING

O’ MORNING
Erle Frayne Argonza / Ra

When the sun shines up yonder
Smiling, greeting smilingly
When birds chirp ceaselessly
Singing, singing soothingly
When ants traverse infinite treks
Working, laboring joyously
When feathery clouds hover above
Hand-waving, gleefully hand-waving
When the cool breeze fills up spaces
Whistling,merrily whistling

Come has the moment of meditation fulfilled
A blessing for the self
When morning’s truly a generous friend
Like a zillion angels, benign provider
[Writ. 24 May 91, Cubao, Quezon City, M.Manila]

REFLECTION
What better mood to start the day than to commence it with joyfulness and cheerfulness. Unless that you’re suffering from mood disorder, or neurosis, or personality disorder, you cannot relate to what I’m genuflecting on: a meditative morning full of joy.
Seekers whom I handle I normally ask: had you ever consulted a clinical psychologist in your life? I am highly observant of human behavior, since behavioral or human science is my professional enterprise. I can easily spot disorder defects in people, and I strongly urge seekers I mentor to consult clinical psychologists to know their strengths and weaknesses.
Being a yogi, I do possess the tools that can aid in taking down stress and depressions, thus stabilizing one’s disordered states. But I am no diagnostician of psychological disorders, and clinical psychologists do possess tools that can address disorders of moderate types (psychiatrists address those of the severe types). Combining a clinician’s and a yogi’s tools will work very potently for a seeker, rest assured.
That done, than your every day cycle of living will be one of sustained joy, bliss, cheers. That will be from morning till resting at night. In case stress comes in the day that could disturb your inner peace, then meditate and detoxify yourself, and you’d rest at night with contentment. Tomorrow upon waking up you’d feel joyful again, facing a morning as “truly a generous friend / Like a zillion angels, benign provider.”

ON SCULPTING THE PHYSIQUE

ON SCULPTING THE PHYSIQUE
Erle Frayne Argonza / Ra

When is body strong and sturdy
But on occasions of rhythmic rounds
To sweatshops o’ physique’s crafting.

You are the sculptor your body wood
That you will shape with exquisite beauty and
Undisguised strength.

Your shaped physique is one authentic
Samson: it will mortally slaughter
Time as it reposes its own morgue;
Cremated is the browbeating fatigue
You are to your Self no cynic
Smoothened are the chances for your wishes
To do myriad works unlimitedly.

Like a true sculptor fulfilled
In its shaping, you are t’ward your
Physical frame.
[Writ. 15 May 1991, Cubao, Quezon City,M.Manila]

REFLECTION
Regular cleansing of your subtle and physical bodies is a constitutive part of the Teaching. Clean bodies will allow for smoother flow of divine energies down your ‘lower systems’ and ensure greater balance of all of your bodies—biophysical, astral-etheric, mental, causal, soul/nirvanic, paranirvanic, monadic.
A physical program—of your choice and suited for your physical frame and condition—is a must in the Path. You can never hear a guru direct you to “abandon physical regimen because it is evil.” What an incompetent guru such a teacher can be if ever, for rest assured there is no one of such mediocrity. I myself took the way of gym weight training (powerlifting) as my physical regimen, though prior to that I swam and jogged for a decade before shifting to gym work.
Till these days I maintain my gym work, though I never compete anymore (I retired from competitive powerlifting in 1993). It is very strongly yang-oriented, which balances my yin-oriented kriya-agni meditation practice. Combined with meditation and related regimen, physical program contributes immensely to slowing down your aging process, to quote: “it will mortally slaughter / Time as it reposes its own morgue.”
Paramahansa Yogananda’s meditation circle (mentored by Sri Yutekswar Giri) had jujitsu as the required physical regimen. Shaolin seekers and monks have kung fu. Some other seekers’ and mystical circles have their peculiar physical regimen or ‘physical culture’. Clearly, physical culture is a constitutive part of the Teaching, and being lackadaisical about it will ensure immeasurable imbalances felt by you along the way.

SUMMER’S DAY

SUMMER’S DAY
Erle Frayne Argonza / Ra

Warm is the day of summer.
The city’s drenched with sweat
Much more for humans
Sweats abound as unwanted flies
On the surface of sticky skin
Sticky is the summer’s day.

Warm yet blessed is the summer’s day.
The hot sun indeed bakes the skin a-gruel
Yet so does it burn all malignant germs
They quiver like it were their last
Winter, on a summer’s day
The signs of sickness shy away.

The body is a sturdy rock
Unreached by echoes of ailments
Only echoes of joy a-fleeting on a summer’s day.
[Writ. 15 May 1991, Cubao, Quezon City, M.Manila]

REFLECTION

Light—physical light—manifests enormous healing powers. This thesis is what is stressed in the poem I writ above. I was already a yogi then, and I have studied the healing powers of light. I recall John Ott’s book Light Therapy as a synthetic reference for studying such healing qualities (the book was among my collections when I wrote this poem).
My body simply loves the sun, and amazingly it is during the hot days of the Dry Season—or equivalent of Summer in the tropics (late March till end of May)—when my health is at its peak of wellness. On the cold days of late November till early February do I normally suffer from colds, severe allergic rhinitis and sinusitis.
Maximize on the healing powers of Sol by exposing yourself to a total of thirty (30) minutes of sunlight a day. It is free medicine, and should I stress ‘preventive medicine’. Even the most dangerous viruses and bacteria may shy away from your biophysical system, provided you also follow the other essentials of good health & wellness inclusive of hygiene sustenance.
I was a health buff early in life, and I mentor seekers with the note that they ought to maintain a physical program—of their own choice. A healthy body is a requisite in the Path of self-realization, for the body is the seat of the soul. Keep it fit, well, and clean, and one of the formulas for wellness is getting as much sunlight as you can.

COME BACK O! LOST CRAFT

COME BACK O! LOST CRAFT
Erle Frayne Argonza / Ra

You will come back, o! lost craft!
You were drowned in the great deluge
Where faith in self lost its scepter
To turbulent waves of underesteem
Faith has lost faith!

You are not lost!
Nothing is
Lost, not a craft that burns
The nights that owls had no monopoly
Over, beat your own despair!
Rise and ride astride the new tidal waves!

Find the whirlpool from the deep recesses!
Twill pull you up
To where bubbles are on sea surfs’ tops
Afloat you shall be
You are your own life saver

You
Are.
[Writ. 14 May ‘99, Cubao, Quezon City, MManila]

REFLECTION
This poetic piece is meant to inspire myself then to never let learned crafts become dormant or dead due to misuse. Crafts are of significant import to a person’s development, and perfecting certain crafts or professions are requisites to spiritual development.
Craftsmanship is referred to as 3rd Ray trait in the higher mysteries. So important are crafts that down here on 3rd dimension we cannot survive without them (a craft or profession ensures us money to get ensue with daily existence), and to a higher extent they endow us with the esthetics to apperceive the wholeness of creation.
We should strive to develop crafts, and we should all learn to appreciate the works of craftsmen or artists. Artists could align through as high as 8th density to tap principles of beauty and esthetics there, and then create products from out of imagined models of what they have in mind. Without the esthetics in our world today, we will leave a dreary, boring society akin to a ‘world of zombies’.
Upon learning crafts or professions, strive to practice them and bring the practice to perfection. Non-practice could yield death on a craft, such as what happens to a medical doctor who wouldn’t practice for ten straight years (I heard of such a narrative from my surgeon uncle Dr. Edwin Argonza who lamented one such young doctor he mentored but who lost the craft due to non-practice). Never ever lost your crafts as they’d become part of your ‘inner gold’ of treasures.

COME TEMPEST!

COME TEMPEST!
Erle Frayne Argonza / Ra

Welcome, most devastating Tempest!
I’ve been expecting your arrival. Do again
Try to smash my Will and sap my strength with your
Diabolic winds, undersea currents and tsunamis.
Let us, while the universe watches, dance together
With no choreography: you are destroyer of all laws.
Crash me, crash me till the hardest of my bones
And inner strength will erode and fade away
To become lore that will no longer fit to be narrated…
That is, if fortune is on your side.
But Tempest, I am the architect of situations,
The productive zenith of sorceries of a million magi,
The master slayer of demons and dragons
That attempted to waylay me on my journeys.
Tempest, never have I lost to you, never have I
Pleaded that you depart from me when you’re around
As when you were present a hundred times before.
I have become cast as the hardest steel
Each time that you’ve made your visit.
Come, Tempest! Make your call once, twice and
A thousand more times: witness me as I again transform
Your powerful forces into ones that will steer me ahead—
Five steps backward and ten steps forward, I’m never
Off-balanced at all by your potent tormenting winds.
Feel me,Tempest, I’m overly cast
I’ve become a super-Tempest whose everyday dream is
To ensnare you as a slave and outcaste.
[Writ. 08 Jan.89, U.P. Village, Quezon City, M.Manila]

REFLECTION
One of my literary pieces writ in the platform of ‘literature of power’, this one is meant to inspire those who experience storm & stress every now and then. Such existential storms could make one experience devastation, and if not managed well such a low-rung state could lead to vicious cycles of depression.
This piece reveals the warrior side of me, and I admit that I am largely a Warrior or 1st Ray as a soul type. So I do perceive challenges and risks from a warrior’s perspective, and hopefully seekers could resonate with it.
From a warrior’s perspective, an existential maelstrom is regarded as congealing forces that could lead the warrior to greater strengths and power. Storm makes great warriors stronger, while they can knock off non-warriors to shreds. So the lesson is: develop your 1st ray or enlightened warrior strengths so you can learn to convert storm’s super-forces to your inner strength-builders.
Shorn of a great warrior’s traits—notably iron will, courage, decisiveness, organizational acumen—a person will be as wimp as wet chicken all his/her life. Will coupled with bhakti (devotion) can accelerate a seeker to attaining Self-realization, see? So seekers have no choice but to meditate well on forging 1st ray traits and transmuting energies of storms to energies of reconstruction and regeneration.

PROMETHEUS IN ACADEMIA

PROMETHEUS IN ACADEMIA
Erle Frayne Argonza / Ra

Welcome, Prometheus!
Descend upon the pillars and corridors of Academia!
Have your merriment and feasts among
The expectant adherents of your holy fire.
Illuminate the residents of Academia with your
Undying light: mana of reason and knowledge.
Awaken us to the flowering consciousness of the knower
As your light fires up the longing lamps of us all.
Remain! Linger on! Let your sacred essence be
Of the inherited Elixir of our triumphant march
Along Life’s trek!
Happy at last will be Zeus over our sublime fraternity.
[Writ. 11 November 1988, Proj. 8, Quezon City, M.Manila]

REFLECTION

‘Prometheus in academia’ signifies the mystic who, though still challenged to rise above the surplus Desire (signified by Prometheus tied on a rock, continuously consumed by a vulture), chooses to base in the academe. Many of us would-be White Robes did choose this platform for spreading higher Light, an experience that I found very fulfilling.

When I was still actively teaching at the University of the Philippines (old Manila campus), I met another mystic there, Prof Piwi Aragon. I was so glad that we were both teaching for the same department (social sciences). Glad all the more as I found out that other faculty members were seekers, and altogether we enriched our library with esoteric books, mentored students in the Teaching, and spoke on prophecy right inside the university on certain occasions.

In 2008, I ascended spiritually, finally transcending the ‘Promethean phase’ of my initiation. Looking back, the teaching profession actually taught me a lot about how to become a guru, and I needed that very much in as much as I was a great warrior in past lives who just wasn’t keen on mentoring the way a professor and guru does. The academe was my training ground to teach well, to practice flexibility in handling seekers of diverse psyche (personality).

Now, as to Zeus, in case some seekers still aren’t knowledgeable about the matter, Zeus signifies the Dyaus-Pitar or ‘sky fathers’ of antiquity. They were the Solar Pitris who were called forth to help evolve humans that we know today, for as Blavatsky cogitated, nature alone cannot breed humans. Beings of higher awareness must be involved in the creation of human species. The Solar Pitris were preceded by the Lunar Pitris, who were the creator fathers of the primordial Pangean races.
